JDO ACADEMY OPEN ITS OWN DOORS!
At the beginning of this year, JDO Academy open its own doors in a completely new building in New West Amsterdam, after having spent 5 years with other entrepreneurs. Owner Juliette den Ouden decided last year after winning the Coiffure Award to change the name of her company to JDO and to search for her own place. After all she had 1 dream and that was the JDO Academy logo big on the facade!
After a long search and many disappointments, Juliette came across this property and immediately fell in love! Not only the height and daylight of the building. But also because it’s part of a project for young people that fits well with Juliette’s vision. After a pitch, they told Juliette that she and her company fit in the best with this project!
BUILT UP FROM THE BOTTEM
Before the renovation, the building was completely hull, not even electricity or sewerage, only the creative ideas of a creative spirit. 😉

NOT ONLY A SCHOOL BUT ALSO A PHOTO STUDIO!
Because Juliette works as an international Hair and Make-up Artist and works for photo shoots. It was a must for her to have her own photo studio.
The location is a functional space and is used as a photo studio in addition to the training room. All furniture is mobile, the robust dressing tables can be set aside and the room can be used as a photo studio. Because of the high windows around the building, a lot of light enters and it is also a day-light studio.
The studio is not only for personal use but also for rent for fellow colleagues from the industry such as photographers, stylists, models and hair & makeup artists.
