Juliëtte den Ouden: International Hair and Make-up Artist and founder of JDO Group, an innovative creative platform in the Hair, Beauty & Fashion industry. JDO Group consists of multiple divisions: JDO Academy, JDO Salon, and JDO Management.
Juliëtte, she’s living her dream and combines her passion for hair and make-up with her love for traveling. Travels all over the world, working behind the scenes at renowned shoots for famous brands, magazines, and celebrities. With more than 20 years of experience, Juliëtte is a well-known person in the beauty and fashion industry. She is an ambassador for Denman brushes, a trend developer for various brands, and a multiple-award winner as a Hair & Make-up Artist.

- Recently she became the Hairdresser of the Year at the Coiffure Award 2020-21 and is pre-selected for international Hairdresser of the year for the IH Awards (the Oscar among hairdressers) In 2014 she became in the top 10 best Make-up artists in the world and 2022 she won the third place at the AIPP Hairdressers Award worldwide.Juliëtte is a very motivated and ambitious dutch woman who has worked very hard to achieve her goals, despite struggling with dyslexia. A chronic shoulder injury caused by the daily strain of haircutting in the salon put her on medical leave for 2 years. This turning point in her life prompted Juliëtte to go for her passion as a Hair & Make-up Artist and entrepreneur. She is also committed to charities, for example, she is the ambassador of Hairdressers without borders and she is starting her own fundraising/ foundation for people with Albinism in Tanzania and helps a foundation to prevent skin cancer.JDO Group: JDO Salon is a salon in Amsterdam to treat yourself to a beautiful haircut and color. JDO Academy trains people to become a hair and make-up artists, gives salon training and masterclasses, and JDO Management manages creative artists like photographers, and videographers and organizes international productions.

AMBASSADOR HAIRDRESSERS WITHOUT BORDERS
Juliëtte is also committed to charity. She is the ambassador of Hairdressers Without Borders a nonprofit organization based on charity and education purposes in third-world countries. She started to collect scissors so they can continue the training in Nepal and organized the main sponsor who will help financially to build a hair salon. The woman who did the training can work in this salon and will earn their own money, so they can care for their family.

Recently she founded the Unity for Albinism Foundation. Juliëtte started Unity for Albinism as a non-profit to help several projects to support people with albinism in Africa, a cause that is very close to her heart.

JDO Academy is a training institute for everybody with a passion for hair and make-up, whether you are a beginner or an experienced artist. JDO Academy was founded by international make-up artist Juliëtte den Ouden. She started the Academy to share her passion, experience, and unique vision for her profession with others.
At ‘JDO Academy’ students are trained in small classes with a maximum of 8 students under the direction of 2 instructors who provide personalized coaching. Students gain extra experience by working at professional photoshoots and fashion shows during and after their studies. Students learn the latest techniques and trends at an international level. All trainers at the JDO Academy are passionate about their work and can often be found backstage at national and international photoshoots. This passion for hair and make-up makes them eager to share their knowledge with others.

Juliëtte presents you JDO Salon, a salon with a talented team of professionals working side by side. A place where Juliette’s vision and knowledge about hair and beauty come to life.
JDO Salon stands for authenticity and purity and therefore works with the most beautiful products from Authentic Beauty Concept, among others. This creates natural hairstyles by means of beautiful haircuts and authentic coloring.
RENTAL
JDO STUDIO
Juliëtte den Ouden makes her JDO Academy / studio space available for colleagues and acquaintances from her network to rent. The space is located in Amsterdam next to the ring road and easy to reach, parking is possible in front of the door and public transport you can walk in 5-minutes.
The location can be used as a photo studio, trainingsroom and event location such as a launch etc. Due to the height and high windows, it can also be used as a daylight photo studio. The space is functionally furnished and everything is on wheels, which means that the space can be arranged according to your wishes.
